The highlight of our stay in Bergen was seeing the fjords.
First, we took a ferry from Gudvangen to Flam and a train from Flam to Myrdal.
Then we took another train from Myrdal to Voss, which, they say, is the the most popular round trip route.
A fjord is a long, narrow inlet, with steep sides or cliffs, created by glacial erosion.
Fantastic weather to view the fjords!
Our tour guide, living in Norway for more than forty (40) years, said that Bergen has more than three hundred fifty(350) rainy days a year.
How lucky we are!
We really enjoyed our view of the massive cliffs from the ferry.
The captain of our ferry was nice.
We all had lunch at a restaurant in Flam.
Beautiful scenery was viewed in every direction.
